The vegetable-tanned leather
The vegetable tanning used for the skin that makes up Teresa is a technique that has ancient origins, dating back to prehistoric times; the same that today shows its maximum splendor in Tuscany and takes place through the use of particular natural elements, tannins, which are extracted from plants and trees and which give the leather those unmistakable, recognizable and unrepeatable characteristics, such as the warm tones that over time and through use tend to appear on the surface. It is a type of processing that requires time and craftsmanship, and allows for leather free of toxic substances harmful to humans and the environment, such as azo dyes, nickel or pentachlorophenol and chromium VI and is usually well tolerated by people allergic to heavy metals.

Instructions for preserving the article
The material used to make this bag is real 100% Tuscan leather, tanned with vegetable tannins. We have chosen not to treat the surface with chemical resins or finishes and for this reason it is more delicate and sensitive to rubbing, scratching and direct sunlight. Color variations over time represent an intrinsic characteristic of the vegetable-tanned leather. In order to get the most out of the bag, we recommend handling it with care and attention. Since our items are made with untreated natural raw materials, they may undergo variations in shades and colors compared to the photographs in the online shop and catalogs. Remember that the leather bag is an organic artifact and, if left on its own, it becomes dirty and dull. This is why the maintenance of your leather bag is so important if you want to enjoy it as long as possible. For this reason, we recommend using a soft, clean, dry wool cloth to gently clean and rub the leather with a small amount of neutral cleansing milk for the face and no alcohol (try to use a small amount of cream so that the skin is able to absorb it easily, avoiding staining).
HOW TO STORE THE BAG WHEN YOU DO NOT USE IT
Keep the bag in its original VODIVÌ fabric bag, if not, store it in a common cotton pillowcase (do not use plastic bags, the leather needs to breathe). Doing so will prevent it from attracting dust.
To keep the shape intact you can fill the bag with paper (avoid
newspapers, the ink could stain the lining), so you do not crush it and create wrinkles.
